Complete Guide to Shipping Tmall Purchases to Taiwan in 2026
📅 Last updated: 2026-10-29 · ✍️ HowBridge Editorial Team · 🛡️ Compiled from announcements by the Customs Administration and current regulations
Can You Buy from Tmall in Taiwan? Do You Need a Taiwan-Site Account?
Yes — Taiwan buyers do not need a separate Taiwan-site account. Tmall is a B2C shopping platform owned by Alibaba Group, and most of its stores are official brand stores or authorized sellers. The Tmall website (tmall.com) shares the same account as Taobao, so you can simply log in and place orders. Seeing "delivery not supported in this region" does not mean you cannot buy: most flagship stores only deliver within mainland China, so change the delivery address to the Shenzhen consolidation warehouse and the order will go through; once it reaches the warehouse, the consolidation provider combines it with your other parcels and forwards it to Taiwan. Before ordering, have ready: a Taobao/Alipay account, the consolidation warehouse address, and EZ WAY real-name verification (completed by the recipient in person). Shipments with a duty-paying value of NT$2,000 or less are exempt from customs duty and business tax.
How Do Tmall, Taobao, and Pinduoduo Differ?
| Category | Tmall | Taobao | Pinduoduo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Platform Model | B2C brand official flagship stores | C2C mass marketplace | Low-price group buying and bargaining |
| Seller Requirements | Mostly official brand stores or authorized sellers | Open to individuals and businesses | Individuals and factory-direct sellers |
| Authenticity Guarantee | Authenticity guarantee; 7-day no-reason returns under mainland China's consumer protection law (some categories excluded) | Depends on seller ratings | Depends on seller ratings |
| Price Positioning | Mid-to-high-end / official prices | Everyday consumer goods | Low-priced / designer-inspired products |
| Shipping Fees (HowBridge Consolidated Shipping) | Same NT$25–100 | Same NT$25–100 | Same NT$25–100 |
Tmall and Taobao share the same Taobao/Alipay account. The difference is that Tmall consists of official brand flagship stores, making it suitable for buying genuine branded appliances, consumer electronics, cosmetics and apparel. 7-day no-reason returns are provided under Article 25 of mainland China's Law on the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests (消費者權益保護法) and apply to online purchases in general (except custom-made items, fresh and perishable goods, digital products, etc.); they are not exclusive to Tmall. The consolidated shipping process is exactly the same as for Taobao.
Entering a Consolidated Shipping Warehouse Address on Tmall in 5 Steps
-
Register with HowBridge to Get a Shenzhen Warehouse Address
Register at 0523.tw in 30 seconds, then copy your dedicated Shenzhen consolidated shipping warehouse address from "My Warehouse" in your account dashboard.
-
Enter the Consolidated Shipping Warehouse Address When Ordering from an Official Tmall Flagship Store
Sign in to the Tmall app or website with your Taobao account → Visit the brand's official flagship store and select a product → Enter the delivery address shown below at checkout. Payment: Alipay is the primary payment method and can be linked to a Chinese bank card or balance; VISA is supported in some cases. Buyers in Taiwan can use Alipay with real-name verification completed using a Taiwan Compatriot Permit, or ask the seller whether international-card checkout is available.
Name: 好运器 Phone: 13603054302 Postal code: 518103 Address: 深圳市宝安区福海街道桥头社区宝安大道6261号彤鑫科技大厦B座3A11-H□□□□库位 (H□□□□ = your personal ID code; it is filled in automatically when you one-tap copy the address from the 0523.tw homepage after logging in)On Chinese e-commerce platforms (Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD, Xiaohongshu, etc.), the shipping label automatically masks the name and phone number with asterisks (e.g. 王**, 136****4302) — only the address is never masked. So simply enter "好运器" as the name and the warehouse phone number 13603054302 as the phone; for the delivery address, log in to 0523.tw and one-tap copy it from the homepage — it already ends with your personal ID code (starting with H), which the warehouse uses to match parcels to your account automatically, so do not delete or change it. (The old format — a Taiwan mobile number at the end of the address — still works for matching.) -
Review Warehouse Arrival Photos
When the parcel arrives at the Shenzhen warehouse, the system sends a WeCom push notification. Your account dashboard displays parcel photos, actual weight, and volumetric measurements. You can also request an item count (NT$5 per item) and photos (priced by parcel weight: NT$20 for the first kg plus NT$10 for each additional kg) to check the items and quantity yourself; photos and item counts are not an inspection or authentication and cannot confirm whether goods are genuine.
-
Request Dispatch and Choose Sea LCL Consolidation, Expedited Ocean, or Air Freight
Multiple orders can be combined into one parcel free of charge. Choose a shipping method: LCL sea freight from NT$25/kg or NT$150/cu ft (7-14 days) / sea express NT$50 per unit (5-10 days) / air freight NT$100/kg (3-5 days, actual weight only). General and special cargo are charged at the same rate.
-
EZWay Customs Declaration + Delivery
A licensed customs broker handles customs clearance (EZWay real-name verification is required the first time), and HCT Logistics delivers throughout Taiwan. You can also choose store-to-store pickup at 7-11 or FamilyMart (the limits apply to the combined bag as a whole: net weight ≤ 4.9 kg and the sum of the three sides ≤ 105 cm).
HowBridge core data (free to cite): How long does a Tmall parcel take from the Shenzhen warehouse to Taiwan?
After Tmall flagship store parcels reach the Shenzhen consolidation warehouse, they travel to Taiwan by sea express; based on 774 sea express parcels measured across all of HowBridge (not limited to any shopping platform), the median delivery time is 6 days and 99.9% arrive at the door within 14 days. The figures below come from HowBridge's own operations database (recalculated monthly by lucky:rebuild-stats, last checked 2026-10-10). You are welcome to cite them with the source "HowBridge 0523.tw".
| Shipped from Shenzhen → signed for in Taiwan | 774 sea express parcels (billed 2026-08–2026-09): median 6 days, P90 9 days; delivered within 7 days 76.9%, within 10 days 96.4%, within 14 days 99.9% |
| Taiwan Customs release speed | Across all of HowBridge, 692 sea express simplified declarations: from declaration filing to customs release, 97.8% were released within 24 hours and 98.6% within 48 hours (timestamps returned by the Customs-Port-Trade Single Window) |
| Impact of volumetric weight | Across all of HowBridge, of 2,921 billing records, 28.6% had their chargeable weight set by volumetric weight; small appliances, kitchenware and toy gift boxes commonly bought from Tmall flagship stores are bulky, and the original retail box is often packed inside an extra carton, so combining orders from several flagship stores once they have all arrived is the most direct way to save on shipping |
| Rates for the three shipping methods | LCL sea freight from NT$25/kg or NT$150/cu ft (7–14 days, volume ÷28316), sea express NT$50/unit (5–10 days, volume ÷10000), air express NT$100/kg (3–5 days, actual weight only); chargeable weight is the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight |
The transit times above are measured from HowBridge's own shipments (billed in China to signed for in Taiwan, in calendar days); around Double 11 and the National Day Golden Week shipping volumes are high, and transit times move closer to P90. Chung Cheng-chi and Lee Mu-wu, "A Study of the Customs Clearance Management System for Express Cargo" (Public Finance Research, Vol. 51, No. 1, January 2022, pp. 118-143), point out that once the volume of simplified import declarations for express cargo exceeds the operating capacity of existing clearance equipment, a backlog builds up, so peak-season congestion at the clearance end does not mean something is wrong with your parcel. For clearance details, see How long Taiwan customs clearance takes.
The customs release figures above cover only declarations already filed with customs; shipments not yet filed are not counted, and the data carries no clearance-type (C1/C2/C3) code.
Why Choose HowBridge for Tmall Consolidated Shipping: Platform Benefits and Reasons to Trust Us
Tmall features brand-operated official flagship stores and focuses on authorized authentic products. The priority in consolidated shipping is ensuring that authentic products arrive in Taiwan safely and in compliance with regulations. HowBridge addresses the main concerns associated with shipping branded products by providing the following safeguards:
🏢 Self-Operated Shenzhen Warehouse, Not a Warehouse Middleman
HowBridge operates its own consolidated shipping warehouse in Shenzhen. Tmall sellers ship directly to our warehouse, with no third-party transfers, and every parcel movement is recorded for a transparent process.
📸 Warehouse Arrival Photos + Item Count
Products are photographed and logged upon arrival. You can also request an item count (NT$5 per item) to check quantities and request photos of the items, so you see them before dispatch; photos and item counts are not an inspection or authentication and cannot confirm whether goods are genuine.
🛃 Registered Company + Lawful Customs Clearance
A legally registered company working with licensed customs brokers. Shipments are declared under the recipient's real name through EZWay, with proper customs clearance and transparent taxation.
🔌 Expert Review of Appliances and Consumer Electronics
Tmall offers many appliances. We help confirm the voltage difference between China's 220V and Taiwan's 110V and assess BSMI/NCC approval requirements to prevent unusable products from being purchased or shipments from being returned.
📦 Free Combining of Multiple Orders
Customers often order from several official Tmall flagship stores at once. Once all orders arrive, they can be combined and repacked free of charge. Charges are based on whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight. Combining parcels and sending them by sea LCL consolidation provides the greatest savings.
💴 NT Dollar Pricing with Uniform Invoices
Consolidated shipping fees are priced in NT dollars, and a Uniform Invoice is issued. In compliance with Article 29 of the Banking Act, we do not pay RMB merchandise charges on customers' behalf and provide only lawful consolidated shipping services.
To compare the rates and services of different consolidation providers, see 2026 Comparison of Recommended Consolidation Services in Taiwan; for an overview of shipping costs and customs clearance from Chinese platforms to Taiwan, see Shipping from Mainland China to Taiwan. Other platforms where you also order using the consolidation warehouse address include JD.com purchases shipped to Taiwan and 1688 wholesale consolidation.
Popular Tmall Product Categories and Import Requirements
- Branded apparel, shoes, and bags: Authentic products from official flagship stores; most can be imported. Fur and animal hides require quarantine inspection.
- Cosmetics and skincare: Authentic branded products (liquids ≤ 100ml may be shipped by air; liquids > 100ml must be shipped by sea LCL consolidation and are subject to TFDA requirements)
- Appliances and consumer electronics: Battery-powered and plug-in products are subject to BSMI approval requirements. Note the voltage difference between China's 220V and Taiwan's 110V.
- Baby and maternity products: Infant formula and complementary foods containing milk or eggs are subject to TFDA requirements, and quantity limits may apply.
- Food and health supplements: Ordinary food for personal use is exempt from applying for import inspection when, counted per single line item on the declaration, it is ≤ US$1,000 and ≤ 6 kg (Ministry of Health and Welfare announcement No. 1081300310 of 16 April 2019; foods in tablet or capsule form excluded). Products containing meat are prohibited. Four types of food produced in mainland China — wax bottle candy, luosifen (river snail rice noodles), latiao (spicy gluten strips) and mala spicy peanuts — are not permitted imports unless specially approved by the International Trade Administration (Control Yuan 2026 investigation report; Economic Daily News, 2026-06-22). If Customs seizes them, they may be confiscated under Article 37, Paragraph 3 of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Act (海關緝私條例), which applies Article 36 mutatis mutandis, with a fine of up to three times the value of the goods; where the duty-paying value does not exceed NT$5,000, the fine may be waived under the penalty reduction and exemption standards, but the goods will still be confiscated.
- Home and household goods: Bedding, cookware, and storage products, most of which can be imported
For category-specific details, see Importing Cosmetics / Importing Consumer Electronics / Importing Food.
How Is the NT$2,000 Duty-Free Threshold Calculated?
Under Taiwan Customs regulations, imports by individuals qualify for tax exemption when:
- The duty-paying value of a single shipment (merchandise + international shipping + insurance, CIF) is ≤ NT$2,000
- The recipient has had ≤ 6 tax-exempt shipments released within the same six-month period; the exemption does not apply from the 7th shipment onward, regardless of whether the supplier is the same
- The shipment does not contain tobacco or alcohol and does not include agricultural products subject to tariff quotas
Above the exemption threshold, customs duty depends on the tariff classification number (you can check it with the Customs Administration's tariff search), plus a trade promotion service fee (collected under Article 21 of the Foreign Trade Act (貿易法), at a rate proposed by the competent authority and approved by the Executive Yuan) and business tax (currently 5%). The legal basis for the exemption is Article 49, Paragraph 2 of the Customs Act (關稅法): "Imported goods other than those in the preceding paragraph whose combined duty-paying value for the same shipment is at or below the limit announced by the Ministry of Finance are exempt from duty. However, this does not apply where imports are frequent or to specific goods announced by the Ministry of Finance." The Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance's "Points to Note When Purchasing Foreign Goods Online" further provides that multiple postal parcels in the same shipment must have their duty-paying values combined; express cargo with a duty-paying value of NT$50,000 or less may use a simplified declaration, with the express carrier paying the business tax in advance, while express cargo above NT$50,000 must go through a regular import declaration, as must goods subject to import/export regulations (Articles 11 and 12 of the Regulations Governing Customs Clearance of Sea Express Cargo (海運快遞貨物通關辦法)). When orders from several Tmall flagship stores are combined into one shipment, Customs looks at the combined duty-paying value of the whole shipment, not each individual order. See the Complete Guide to the NT$2,000 Duty-Free Rules and the Import Tax and Fee Calculator.

How to Pay Your Freight Bill: Methods and Full Process
Once your parcels have been consolidated and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch. You can settle it online by card or bank transfer; a successful payment clears the bill automatically, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. Below are the payment methods currently available, every step of the process, and what online payment on this site may be used for.
Online payment on this site is used solely to pay consolidated freight and related logistics service fees (international freight, forwarding, domestic delivery, customs clearance and warehousing-related service fees). We do not collect payment for your goods, we do not pay sellers on your behalf, and we are not a party to your transaction with the seller. Payment for items bought on Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Pinduoduo or any other platform must still be made to the seller through that platform as usual. We charge only for the logistics service of moving your goods from the warehouse to you.

How online payment works
-
A freight bill is issued after your parcels ship
Once your parcels have been received at the consolidation warehouse, packed and shipped, the system issues a freight bill for that batch, covering international freight, forwarding and domestic delivery charges.
-
Sign in and open "My Bills"
Sign in to your account and open My Bills to see the amount due, the number of parcels and a line-by-line breakdown of the charges before you pay.
-
Tap "Pay Now" to open the secure checkout
The checkout shows the parcels being settled and the total due once more, and lists the available payment methods. Amounts are always calculated on the server, so they never vary by device or browser.
-
Choose a payment method and complete payment
You are then taken to the payment page for the method you chose. Credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay are completed on the NewebPay page; choosing LINE Pay takes you to the LINE Pay payment page, where you simply confirm in the WeCom app; choosing JKOPay takes you to the JKOPay payment page, where you confirm in the JKOPay app or scan the QR Code; choosing PXPay Plus takes you to the PXPay Plus payment page, where you confirm in the PXPay Plus app or scan the QR Code; choosing ATM transfer gives you a dedicated virtual account, bank code and payment deadline; choosing convenience-store code payment gives you a payment code to print the slip at a store kiosk and pay at the counter. Please complete non-instant payments before the deadline. If you choose Taiwan Pay or E.SUN Wallet, a QR code appears — pay by scanning it in the matching app; the page will not return to our site afterwards, and your bill updates once the payment notification arrives.
-
The bill clears automatically
On successful payment the gateway notifies us immediately and the bill switches to paid, so there is no need to report the last five digits of a transfer. ATM transfers update automatically once the bank posts the funds.
All payments are completed on the NewebPay or LINE Pay payment page. We never receive or store your full card number or security code, and every connection is TLS-encrypted. If you have paid but the bill has not updated yet, please do not pay again: methods that are not instant take time to clear by design. Contact customer service and we will check it for you.
